Il Codacons, da sempre attento alla salvaguardia ed alla tutela dell’ambiente, oltre che alle ragioni dei consumatori ed utenti, apprezzando lo spirito della Legge Ronchi, che ha istituito il Consorzio Polieco ( Art. 48, Dlgs 22/97, ?Al fine di ridurre il flusso dei rifiuti di polietilene destinati allo smaltimento è istituito il Consorzio per il riciclaggio dei beni in polietilene?), consorzio che rammentiamo è senza fini di lucro ed è organizzato secondo statuto approvato dal Ministero dell’Ambiente di concerto con il Ministero dell’Industria del Commercio e dell’Artigianato con decreto del 15 Luglio 1998, condivide pienamente gli obiettivi che questo si pone: la definizione della gestione dei rifiuti di beni in polietilene, con particolare riguardo a quelli di provenienza agricola, con lo scopo primario di favorire il ritiro dei beni a base di polietilene al termine del ciclo di utilità per avviarli ad attività di riciclaggio e di recupero.
Come al solito, il Codacons, partecipando con il suo rappresentante, il dott. Luca Agli occhi – esperto di problemi ambientali collegati allo smaltimento dei rifiuti – concretamente e criticamente ai lavori di questo Ente, tutelerà e vigilerà per rappresentare ulteriormente il punto di vista e gli interessi dei suoi associati e dei cittadini che credono nel consumo responsabile e che ritengono, ormai, indifferibile la diffusione e la condivisione di un modello di sviluppo sostenibile, per contrastare gli squilibri socio-ambientali ormai sotto gli occhi di tutti.
