Il dato diffuso oggi in base al quale il 53% dei tabaccai si rifiuta di vendere sigarette ai minori è tutt’altro che positivo ma anzi rappresenta un dato grave ed allarmante che impone un intervento urgente dei Monopoli di Stato.
“Se il 53% dei tabaccai rispetta le leggi e non vende prodotti da fumo ai minori, ne consegue che esiste un altro 47% di esercenti che invece le sigarette le venderebbe senza problemi violando le disposizioni in materia – afferma il Presidente Codacons, Carlo Rienzi – Ciò significa milioni di pacchetti di sigarette che ogni anno finiscono in mano ai minori, con evidenti rischi per la salute degli stessi.
Chiediamo quindi ai Monopoli di Stato di intervenire disponendo controlli a tappeto – conclude Rienzi – e adottando le misure idonee ad ottenere il rigoroso rispetto della legge da parte dei tabaccai”.
