Da stamane è attivo il numero telefonico messo a disposizione dal CODACONS per dare consigli medici sull’uso e/o abuso dei medicinali e del Lipopay o altri in cui siano presenti le statine. Oramai da due giorni si susseguono tantissime telefonate da parte di cittadini che chiedono di essere tranquillizzati sulla vicenda Lipobay e avere consigli su come comportarsi, in alcuni casi anche perché i propri medici di famiglia sono ancora in vacanza o irraggiungibili al telefono.
Infatti il prof. De Lipsis , medico del Codacons, ha risposto a decine di telefonate tra cui ? insieme ai dati statistici del giorno precedente ? abbiamo individuato che su circa trecento telefonate un buon 60% sono richieste di consulenza su come comportarsi, se proseguire nel trattamento o sospenderlo, quali esami clinici fare senza però avere alcun sintomo, un altro 30% segnala vari effetti collaterali tipo: dolori alle gambe, ipotensione, lombalgie continue e dolorose, astenia, infarto intestinale, dolori muscolari tutti sintomi curati, tuttavia, attraverso terapie antidolorifiche e antiipertensive e con prescrizione di farmaci antireumatici, infine il 10% ha segnalato casi gravi di paralisi alle gambe, sangue alle urine e ai muscoli con ricoveri ospedalieri.
Le telefonate sono arrivate da tutta Italia: Bolzano, Milano, Bologna, Ravenna, Firenze, Cagliari, Caltanisetta, Roma, Perugia, Salerno, Avellino, Bari, Reggio Calabria, Enna, da parte anche di persone giovanissime , in prevalenza donne, l’età media dai 50 ai 70 anni.
Tra le tante segnalazioni però ne è giunta una gravissima inerente un caso di insufficienza renale da Lipobay verificatosi a Roma e associato all’uso del Lipobay insieme alla ciclosporina. Si tratta di una persona ricoverata in un ospedale di Roma, in terapia intensiva, che faceva uso, per curare la psoriasi, del farmaco della ciclosparina e che per la ipercolasterina ha preso anche il Lipobay.
Nell’ultima settimana dello scorso luglio ha accusato anche disturbi (astenie alle gambe) interpretati come di natura neurologica poi si è accertata la natura muscolare del disturbo ? CPK 32.000 e l’esame elettromiografico e risonanza magnetica hanno dimostrato la distruzione della muscolatura e insorgenza di insufficienza renale attribuita alla rabdomiolisi.
Una parente dell’ammalata ?medico- ha sospettato l’associazione tra i due farmaci, la cerivastatina e la ciclosporina, è l’insorgenza della grave malattia tant’è che questo caso è stato segnalato dall’ospedale alla ASL, Dipartimento di Farmacovigilanza come rabdomiolisi provocata da uso di Lipobay chiedendo l’accertamento del sospetto diagnostico.
Si tratterebbe del caso più evidente di miopatia con insufficienza renale dovuta all’associazione dei due farmaci (immunosoppressore e statina) che sono segnalati – in tutti i testi di farmacologia – come fattore di rischio e che tuttavia nel foglietto delle prescrizioni del Lipobay rientra solo tra le precauzioni di impiego ma non nelle controindicazioni.
