Numerosi sono gli annunci pubblicitari che inducono il consumatore a comprare integratori alimentari.
Quanti integratori di Vitamina C, Vitamina D o lattoferrina pubblicizzati contro l’infezione da Covid-19?
Codacons: è bene sapere che essi sono prodotti alimentari e pertanto risultano sottoposti alle norme in materia di sicurezza alimentare e non possono in alcun modo vantare capacità di prevenire e curare malattie e non possono vantare proprietà terapeutiche.
Gli integratori alimentari sono prodotti al fine di integrare delle mancanze di alcune sostanze nutritive o un fabbisogno aumentato per l’organismo.
È quindi importante ricordare che:
1. Non sono sostituti di una dieta varia ed equilibrata;
2. Non sostituiscono uno stile di vita sano.
Quindi non lasciatevi ingannare dagli annunci pubblicitari che vi fanno credere che ne necessitate. L’integrazione, ove non vi è un bisogno prescritto dal medico, può risultare anche pericolosa e intossicare l’organismo.
Ad, esempio un sovraccarico di Vitamina D può portare ad un’epatite da vitamina D.
Diffidate dal comperare questi prodotti, apparentemente “miracolosi” senza aver prima consultato il vostro medico.
