Gli inquilini del condominio di Viale Mazzini 73 a Roma stanno vivendo in queste ore attimi di tensione. Dai lavori in corso presso un locale sito ai numeri civici 63-65-67-71 di Viale Mazzini (pare per la creazione di un ristorante) è emersa un’enorme canna fumaria che coprirà tutta una serie di finestre di un palazzo del civico 73.
Ma la paura dei residenti è in realtà un’altra. Da quando sono iniziati i lavori, infatti, sono comparse crepe sospette sui muri delle abitazioni e, addirittura, le mattonelle di alcuni pavimenti sono saltate in aria. Dalle indiscrezioni raccolte dal CODACONS sembrerebbe che i lavori in corso abbiano coinvolto anche alcuni muri maestro dell’edificio. Gli inquilini, tramite il CODACONS, negli scorsi mesi hanno più volte sollecitato il Comune di Roma a intervenire, anche attraverso la consegna dei documenti relativi all’autorizzazione ai lavori. Ma nessuno si è mai degnato di dare risposta a questi appelli.
Per lo più al di fuori dei locali dove si svolgono i lavori non è stata affissa alcuna autorizzazione, contrariamente a quanto prevede la legge.
Si sospetta quindi che tale autorizzazione non sia mai stata concessa. Ipotesi avvalorata anche dal fatto che fino a ieri gli operai hanno sempre lavorato di notte e soprattutto, all’arrivo delle forze dell’ordine interpellate dai residenti, gli stessi operai si sono dati alla fuga.
Il timore degli inquilini di Viale Mazzini, e anche quella del CODACONS è che, a seguito di tali lavori, possa verificarsi un altro evento tragico come quello di Val Melaina, ossia il crollo del condominio stesso.
L’associazione ha chiesto oggi l’intervento dei Vigili Urbani e dei Carabinieri e ha diffidato il Comune di Roma a intervenire con urgenza per tutelare la salute dei cittadini.
