Gli editori minacciano di denunciare
il Codacons se pubblicherà , come annunciato, libri on line: lo
rende noto la stessa associazione in difesa dei diritti dei
consumatori, che da domani farà partire sul suo sito Internet
l`iniziativa “Libri gratis“. Attraverso questo spazio,
studenti e cittadini potranno scambiare o regalare libri di
testo usati.
Il Codacons ha inviato oggi al presidente del Consiglio,
Silvio Berlusconi, due lettere inviate all`associazione dall`Aie
(associazione italiana editori) e dalla Paravia Bruno Mondadori
Spa. Nelle missive, secondo quanto riferisce il Codacons, gli
editori minacciano l`associazione di pesanti ritorsioni
“legali“ per aver manifestato l`intenzione di inserire sul
proprio sito libri scannerizzati da far scaricare gratuitamente.
“Questo vuol dire che abbiamo colto nel segno – affermano
l`associazione – ma a questi signori diciamo che accoglieremo le
loro minacce solo quando ne faranno di analoghe alle scuole e
agli editori che hanno sfiorato il tetto massimo di spesa
stabilito dal Ministero dell`istruzione“. Spiegano poi di aver
“girato“ le lettere al premier anche perché le accuse degli
editori “sono più che a noi alla legge che proprio il governo
ha emanato il 20 agosto scorso“ e che “prevede che giÃ
dall`anno scolastico 2008/2009 gli studenti possono scaricare
gratis i libri on line“.
